OHIO — The U.S. Geological Survey reported a 3.1-magnitude earthquake that shook parts of southeast Ohio early Tuesday morning.
The earthquake happened shortly after 4 a.m. just east of Zanesville and south of Cambridge along I-77, near Senecaville Lake. It had a depth of about 3.1 miles.
Some reports showed residents in that area felt light shaking.
An earthquake of 3.1 magnitude is generally considered weak, according to the USGS. There's been more than 30 earthquakes so far this year in Ohio, according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources. The latest ones can be found here.
