WISCONSIN — This year, you can purchase a twist on the classic Wisconsin State Fair delicacy, the cream puff.

In additional to the original flavor, this year’s fair will have chocolate cream puffs.

Leaders said the chocolately goodness is thanks to its brand new bakery.

But if you’re not feeling just one kind, you can mix and match. Officials said they’ll offer six packs with both original and chocolate cream puffs for the first time.

This year will also feature a celebration strawberry cream puff that’s available in limited quantities each day of the fair. It’s meant to mark the 20th anniversary of UScellular.

In addition to the State Fair, fans of the creamy dessert can pick up theirs in the morning at the drive-thru, which operates Monday, Aug. 4 to Friday, Aug. 8 from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. At the drive-thru, a three-pack of the original flavor will cost $17, with a chocolate three-pack costing $20; a mix and match box will cost $33.

At the fair, these prices will be slightly reduced. You can view the full costs and breakdown on the State Fair website.

Cream puffs have been a tradition at the State Fair since 1924, with over 30,000 sold per day at the festival.
