LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Two area giants have formed a partnership that will give season passholders more bang for their buck.

Kentucky Kingdom and Newport Aquarium are teaming up and Kentucky Kingdom season passholders will get 50% off general admission to the aquarium. According to its website, 1-day general admission for the aquarium is normally $25.99-40.99.

“We are so excited to team up with Newport Aquarium to give our guests a new way to explore and have fun just a short drive away,” said General Manager Sarah Worrell of Kentucky Kingdom. “This partnership lets us offer even more value to families while staying true to what we both do best: creating memories worth repeating.”

Season passholders can get their discount by showing a valid Kentucky Kingdom gold or diamond season pass at the aquarium ticket window. Tickets can also be bought online in advance using the promo code KYKING at the official offer page. Visitors are encouraged to buy tickets in advance because there are capacity limits at the aquarium, especially on weekends and peak hours. The Kentucky Kingdom season pass will need to be shown at entry with the purchased ticket.

Visitors to the aquarium this summer will find Shark Summer and the new exhibit “Jellies: Go with the Flow.” The gallery has six species of jellyfish that float, pulse and glow.
