Cassie Semyon joined the Spectrum News Washington bureau as part of the production team in late 2021 and six months later, she became an on-air reporter.

At Spectrum, Cassie has conducted exclusive interviews with Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). Her sit-down interviews with McCarthy in his hometown of Bakersfield, CA, and in Washington became the basis for an exclusive three-part series and a half-hour special, "Kevin McCarthy: The Journey to House Speaker."

When Cassie’s not on Capitol Hill, you can find her running, hiking, reading, exploring D.C., or cheering on the Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles.
