MADISON, Wis. (SPECTRUM NEWS) – State lawmakers passed several bills this week that will now go to Gov. Tony Evers for his consideration.

It seems as though everything was on the table, from fighter jets in the sky to lemonade stands on the ground.

Health Insurance for Immediate Survivors of Fallen Officers and First Responders

One of the biggest bills headed to the governor would extend health insurance coverage to the widow and children of police officers and emergency workers killed in the line of duty.

The state, municipalities, UW system and Marquette University would all have to pay those premiums until widows turn age 65 and children turn age 26.

The Assembly unanimously passed the bill Thursday which Gov. Evers intends to sign into law.

Joint Resolution Supporting F-35s in Madison

The Assembly passed a non-binding bipartisan resolution supporting new F-35 fighter jets at Truax Field in Madison.

Many local neighborhoods have raised concerns about noise.

An environmental impact statement says the noise would make more than 1,000 homes unlivable.

The Senate adopted the resolution on Tuesday.

Allowing Children to Sell Lemonade

A bill letting kids legally run lemonade stands on private property without a permit is also heading to the governor.

The bill limits lemonade sales to $2,000 a year, which works out to 8,000 cups sold at 25 cents each.

The governor's spokeswoman, Melissa Baldauff, says Evers plans to sign the bill into law.

The Assembly does not have dates to convene on the calendar again until November.
