OHIO — A line of strong storms blew across Ohio Wednesday afternoon, leaving some damage in its wake. 

Many areas were under a Tornado Watch, and some were upgraded to a Tornado Warning. So far, the National Weather Service confirmed five tornadoes touched down in the state. In the northern half of the state, some areas, like Bucyrus and Windham, experienced damage. 

Windham families were left picking up the pieces after the storms, and several emergency crews were hard at work that night. Throughout the area, there were downed power lines, fallen trees and a lot of debris. Resident Brian Olson said that a few of their trees fell down; one was even uprooted and some of the siding of the home was ripped off. 

“We got a notification on the phone that says hey tornado warning, and we immediately got outside to look up and sitting out there, and it starting hailing a little bit and we started hearing the winds pick up and yelled at everyone to get in the basement, and we heard it and the next thing you know its over, quick as that," Olson said. 

In downtown Bucyrus, there were reports of downed trees and some structural damage, according to the Crawford County Ohio State Patrol. The patrol said there was damage to residences and some businesses, and no injuries were reported.

Some central Ohio areas were met with strong winds and hail, including New Albany and Gahanna. 

The National Weather Service said it's sending out teams to survey the damage on Thursday.
