High pressure has control of our weather, and we get to enjoy a day of sunshine!  However, yesterday's cold front left some frigid air in place. Lows this morning were in the teens and 20s with wind chills mainly in the teens for many cities across the state (single digits for Northern KY).  Afternoon highs will climb into the low 40s, but wind chill values will stay in the 30s throughout the afternoon.  Tonight, it'll be another frigid night as lows drop back into the 20s.  Thankfully, a southerly wind will help warm temps up a bit for tomorrow...closer to 50° (near average).

Our next system impacts the area beginning Friday.  Afternoon rain will move in affiliated with an area of low pressure that'll roll NE across the Gulf Coast states, then a cold front will move towards us by Saturday night...bring more showers into the area ahead of it.   Once the cold front crosses, colder air will move back in... and forecast models indicate that some areas could see a potential wintry mix on Sunday.  However, as of now, it looks like Monday is the day to watch as a reliable forecast model has been consistent with showing snow for the start to the week...and it seems other forecast models are starting to trend in this direction as well.  Precip type all depends on the actual track of an area of low pressure that'll move across our region; so, stay tuned for updates as we get closer.
