LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Louisville's Omni Hotel is closing its doors Friday because of the coronavirus. A travel advisory posted on the hotel's website explains that COVID-19 has had a huge impact on the hospitality industry and as a result the hotel chain is temporarily closing its properties.

Louisville's Omni is suspending all services to guest as of Friday. The hotel is hoping to resume operations Friday, May 15, 2020, but will revaluate if necessary.

If you or someone you know has a stay booked through April 30, the company is waiving cancellation fees for existing and new reservations.  If the booking was made through a travel agent or an online travel site, contact them directly, they have been notified of the cancelation policy.

Louisville's Omni opened March 6, 2018 and took almost two years to complete. The city's tallest hotel created almost 400 permanent jobs and offered a number of distinct features including an art gallery, an urban market, and a bowling alley.
