WASHINGTON, DC — Senator Mitch McConnell is thanking Kentucky businesses for stepping up in this time of crisis.

On the Senate floor Wednesday, he applauded businesses for shifting to designated hours for seniors and bars and restaurants for closing their doors. McConnell is urging the Senate to pass a House coronavirus relief bill as quickly as possible but says the Senate must take additional action.

The Majority Leader said, "So while I will support the House bill in order to secure some emergency relief for some American workers, I will not adjourn the Senate until we have passed a far bolder package that must include significant relief for small businesses all across our country."

The 100 billion dollar House bill includes limited paid sick leave for workers among other provisions.
